It started from a small idea
Beth and Ashley were working the winery during The Best Little Yarn Crawl in Texas....Blue Mule Winery is an official sponsor of The Crawl...when they started noticing that many of The Crawl visitors were 'checking in' or publishing on social media that they were visiting the winery, and many of their social media friends would comment on how they wished they had known their friend was going to be there at that time, they would have rearranged their schedules to meet them there, having always wanted to meet them in person. We came upon this small idea that what these people really needed was a place to gather for a day, where they could bring their wips, their friends, and just sit and relax, visit with friends, make new friends, hook up with social media buddies, and share....share their time, wips, designs, patterns, inspiration and knowledge. Just a relaxing day to gather together with other yarn lovers and have a good time! Beth and Ashley had the venue....the lovely little farm in Fayette County...just 6 mile from Round Top, TX and 8 miles from Fayetteville, TX....home of Blue Mule Winery. But would anyone come to an outdoor event for yarn? The response and support has been tremendous! So many fiber businesses have reached out to vend. Teachers have offered their time for classes. We have people who have offered to demonstrate their fiber art through out the day. Within 24 hours of sharing the idea on social media, the Texas Yarn Lovers Event became a real thing!
